Just bought a dive for my anchor,which is the best and safest way to rig it up,I was thinking of adding a couple of meters of floating rope and having the whole thing over the side as a quik release Cheers Andy

That's a popular way Andy. just make sure you have a good enough buoy on the reel too though.

That is the method I use Andy with 10mm floating yellow rope as there is little or no drag and is much easier to pick up in the water. The buoy I use is a 12'' which is larger than some use but very easy to see if you release the kayak and then return to the anchor point.
I have fitted a 2.5'' ss ring to the buoy and a good carabina to both the reel and the floating rope so that all can be put together and removed quickly and easily. Phil
