Look at the deepest point you are likely to anchor and have a bare minimum of three times that, preferably 4 or five to allow for stronger tides.

Terry Got about 800 ft on my divers reel(don't think theres much that deep with the distances I go out) said it was 2.5 mm when I bought I went for the amount and diameter that I had reccomended off quite a few people,looks thinner though, so borrowing calipers asap. I have had the trolley and the anchor the chain, divers reel and buoys for weeks ready to roll,now if the sea would be so kind as to look like it does when I am on the way to work then maybe I could practise the anchoring Or even get out and catch a few
