Can anyone help me?I've just bought a double kayak for fishing, I'd like to add foot rests so the middle seat can be used more effectively as my feet fall short off the front rests. When adding accessories do you actually drill thru the plastic to attach?

Yes you drill through the plastic but you need to decide if nuts and bolts are to be used or trifold rivets. If you can get inside the kayak to fit nuts and bolts, go that route, always better. Before you drill, measure, measure and when you are certain, drill to your hearts content. If the kayak you have has the space and hull shape to allow you to fit foot rests, I would suggest checking with the kayak dealer who sells that make as in many cases you can purchase spare parts from the dealer. It would be helpful to advise what is the kayak and where you live so that we may be able to guide you to the best people to contact.
