hi mate welcome to the sib world do you have any pictures of your boat it would be good to see them
insurance is about £30.00 i get mine from nobel marine they are really nice to deal with the welsh and anglesey council's have an agreement which means you only have to register it with either one and it is covered by both . i don't really know about the still water registration but i would assume you would need to register it with the relevant areas authority's

looks like you need min 3rd party insurance for any registration and yes it costs about £30 for a 3.6m and under 9.9hp
Windermere is £30 a year reg and similar for anglesey/Gwynyth but presume you can launch anywhere (bonus of a inflatable) and dont need to pay slip fees?
if i m wrong with any of this internet research pls let me know asap

YOU need to register any craft with a powered engine even a kayak with an elec engine need to be registered for launch on the welsh coast (sea ). if the boat is under 3.6 m and has an engine of under 9.9hp there is no additional launch fees for the slip ways but if its over 3.6m long and or has an engine of over 9.9hp you have to pay £16.00 per launch in addition to registering. so under 3.6m long with an engine of under 9.9 you do have to register but have no additional fees to pay. it is £15.00 per year to register northwaleskayakfishing.co.uk/welsh-launching-regulations

nothing serious . just the shift lever had disconnected is it wise to carry a small fire extinguisher on board even for a 6hp?
