Thank for the reply. That's where electric is much easier, a solar panel trickle charger to top up the battery would be ideal. Also with the petrol ignition, unless the fuel mix is spot on and spark plug high tension lead is dry, it is a job to start. The spark can arc down the outside of the spark plug, thus no spark at the gap. That's where a can of wd40 comes in handy to dispel the moisture away, and not just for spraying your lures.. There is an ignition sealer spray to be had too. Firstly, make sure everything is dry and engine is cold. And spray all of the ignition system. It works well..its like a laquer. Salt water including the salt air plays havoc with electrics , this is why switches and anything electric have to be greased or sealed. Would be great to see a photo of your set up.

No photos Don't use them anymore they were a bit noisy. Mounted one on a mountain bike went like dodo off a shovel till it blew up bicycle clips a must if any one tires it. The other will end up in a gokart for gran kids (it will all end in tears)

To be honest, Torqeedo, Germany, have been producing electric outboards for some years. I had one on my Big Game kayak, fantastic. They produced a high speed motor for performance craft but the battery size is mega. The fusion in the video is really impressive but I think no faster than Torqeedo. I am guessing the Fusion boat is specially designed with the battery cells below the seats and they will for sure be mega size as well. www.torqeedo.com/en/products/cataloguePhil
