After 2 anchors lost on 2 outings ( sorry Tribble ) i decided to put my thinking cap on, or more, my theft cap on. Here's what i've took, mostly from Choy ( cheers Pat ) and have finnished with. This i allready had. I was struggling to find a crate to fit the tank well of my Tarpon 140 and found a works bag in B&Q. I just had to sturdy it a bit. From there i took Choys anchor as when caught in a rip tide anchored i had no choice but to ditch my rope not being able to snap the tie strap which was my weak link and lost the lot. . I also took the roop holder from Choy although after making this originaly with a handle decided just to wind it in with my hand as it is still a two handed opperatoin but with less effort. Decided to fill it up with expanding foam incase i needed to toss it for whatever reason. It floats brilliant with the handle sicking out of the water. I have since put some reflector at the bottom of the handle. . Wish i could say that the idea of this fitting into my bag supporting was by design but would be a lie. Sat it in as an after thought and it was the perfect size and length for to turn making the extending of anchor rope a one handed opperation off the block. .

I know where you are coming from with re the thread on which glue. It's a no go'er, this glue has some kind of property which only works with plumbing pipe. Havn't done any in depth tests to prove this but have certainly tried it on my rope holder trying to glue the two diffirent types of plastic and on something unrelated that escapes my degrading brain. It's OSMA solvent cement No 2 in anycase. And to carry on with something totaly unrelated, i only need my fishfinder to get out fishing in anger. Have ordered the Lowrance X50 DS. Has everyone else used the in-box transom mount transducer as a shoot through the hull or am i wasting my time trying.

Well plumbers use solvent weld, Sparkys use Ega weld for plastic conduit that is pretty good but we stick High Impact PVC conduit together so you probebly need to make sure the item is PVC related Or Sprinkler pipe installers have a third type of glue. Its a shame I am home from work or else i could have brought a tin of all 3 to tomorrows meet =(
