A question to kickingk: - why did you have to rivet the cleats when you had inside access for bolts and nuts, as obvious from the calm cleat near by which is bolted?

The cleats aren't really under any pressure and its easier & quicker just to use the rivets. More importantly the holes in the clam cleat are only about 3mm diameter so won't accept a rivet. I'd happily rivet it all if I had to, the Pad eyes that the bungee are fixed too have been riveted on my X Factor and theres no sign of them failing & that takes some doing considering the weight of a X and not least me

I can see what the clam cleat is for. But why the other cleats. I may sound stupid! , but can you show how you rig the anchor rope. Thanks

Bloody Hell Vlad, thats some serious anchor chain you have there dont get it caught round your leg, just got back from skiing in Bulgaria, and did a bit of ice fishing as well, Great Country loved it, Carl.
