I have just bought a pair of Palm Bedrock neoprene boots. These are an excellent pair of boots and work well with my dry suit which doesn't have built in socks or boots, which I prefer. They are made from 6mm neoprene rubber and have a good solid sole made from rubber. There is a Velcro strap which fastens over the bridge of the foot and makes the boots very stable and supportive whilst remaining extremely comfortable. I have tried these boots on their own with a thinner pair of neoprene socks inside them, this keeps the feet really warm despite them being wet. I have also bought a pair of Sealskinz waterproof socks to wear with the Palm boots. These are very well made and keep the feet nice and warm and, more importantly, dry. They are reported to be the only 100% waterproof sock on the market and they certainly do what it says on the tin!! The Sealskinz socks and the Palm boots are an excellent alternative to built in socks or boots when worn together and came in at just under £45 combined price. I personally would recommend them to any body who is in the market for some new fancy foot wear for yakking in!
