Due to connection problems, this report is a little late Got back on shore on 31st October and Weds 1st Nov was glorious. Headed off to the Orme, stopping at Vic Pier for a new rod and bait. Got set up and paddled over to Llan pier. Thought I'd have a go between the pier and the Orme, only to find I'd left all but 1 of my weights at home. Paddled over towards Pigeon Holes and dropped anchor... literally . I have a sand anchor and while lowering it down, it slipped through my fingers. I grabbed the rope and I think the sudden jerk of stopping it caused the snap link to open or break. Next I tied up to a lobster pot float, but got my ropes tangled and ended up side on to the waves. Got sorted and started fishing. First drop and I got snagged and lost my only weight. Thinking I may end up short of weights, I had kept kept a few pebbles from my sand anchor before loosing it, so put some in a small mesh bag, that I had intended to use to ground bait and used that as a weight. This actually worked quite well, but I was doing something wrong as I only landed 1 doggie (as ever, better than a blank ;D) All in all a frustrating day, but still great to be out on the water.

Good to hear I'm not the only one to leave essentials behind.
