Hi to all I ve received a p.m. from hatter and have been asked to post some pics of the fish/fishing over that we are fortunate to have on our doorstops.Firstly though it has to be said that we have experienced a seriously good season so far and probably one that we ll struggle to experience for some time !! They say that the cod fishing goes in cycles of around 7-9 years so I ve been told, I think we ve had a double bumper helping this year !!
I ve been fishing the coast from the shore around the Nth east since I was a very young lad, (dad was firms angling secretary so was brought up on a diet of sea fishing in the winter and coarse the rest of the year).
Had a long break though and then this year have been bitten oh so badly by the yakking bug !! ;D ;D
Most of my fishing has been from out of where the Yorkshire Wolds hills meets the North sea at the spectacular cliffs of Flamborough and Bempton. The chalk cliffs at Bempton really are awesome towering over 300 feet and clad in all manner of sea birds from Gannets to Puffins.
A lot of my fishing has been done on my own and so the pics are a little limited but here are few of where I go and some of the fish that have been caught.
#1. Flamborough North Landing.(usual launch site)
#2.A few of me launching and paddling out of Nth Landing.

The next few are of the spectacular Bempton cliffs, about an hours paddle from Nth Landing.
Afew of the most recent trips starting with the sunrise over Bridlington whilst on the way to a 5 am launch !!
(Iain fishing buddy with some cod)
The results black pepper/sea salt grilled cod.
As I have mentioned on the forum before, if any of you guys fancy a trip across and we have some settled weather I can accom around 4 people, just, and their yaks, so a guided trip of our cod grounds could be given .
Cheers Dave J (Whitby sea anglers forum).
