Luce Bay is a big sandy bay right in the SW corner of Scotland.

South of Stranraer. We'll be launching from either the Ardwell side or the Port William side depending on wind conditions. Met check just now says the wind will be coming in from the south west at 7 or 8 by 12am so looks like Ardwell. Certainly Ian was brought up in that area and may well have a better option on the day. I'll be there from 9am and staying the night so will be able to catch whatever tide is best to fish, low tide is at 3pm. Where are you based Lw?

Unfortunately yes. However it's very unusual to be that bothered by them along the coast as there is usually enough breeze to take them away. I never leave home without the Avon skin-so-soft though.

Thanks for the midge info, I won't go!! Unfortunately I'm allergic to the "skin so soft" as well.
