A few of us are planning on getting out early on Sunday for a session on Anglesey - looking like Church Bay at present - fairly close in fishing over rough ground for general species hunt. Car park opposite the Lobster pot resturant as near to 8am as possible or see you out there in the bay- trolley highly desirable as its a fairly steep track down onto the beach there. Baits - fresh rag plus mackeral / sandeel plus CRAB (peeler or ideally softees) - HINT - a strong leader may be required for one of the targets we have in mind Weather forecast is looking good so far - 7 mph westerly

Well we had a great day out - and the target species turned up - a new one for me (thanks to Ray for the picture - I had my hands full at the time!) Thanks due also to Gethyn, skipper of "My Way" for sharing the mark details with me. Lucky for me it wasnt the smoothie that was pulled in a few hours later off My Way, fishing within a few hundred yards of us - a lucky angler from Wigan pulled in a potential new Welsh record smoothie at 25lbs 6 oz, hopefully smashing the current 23lb record - and I was lucky enough to be alongside the bow of My Way at the time it was caught netted carefully and weighed. ;D All were returned quickly and safely to grow bigger.
