Unusually, I had timed my launch with slack water, so I could enter the Swellies. Church Island was in the sunshine.

With the wind and the current behind me, I made it from Brittania Bridge to the slipway in 18 minutes with little effort.

So I'm pleased with the new SP, and I'm also pleased with the Werner Tybee paddle, which seemed as light as a feather, and took minimal effort to use. Just as I got out of the water, the heavens opened.

Good report that Mal wish I could have got out with you, but a little thing called work got in the way. Looked like ideal conditions for a leisurely paddle.
