Hi Guys Some time since anyone posted on this subject so I'm guessing no one has managed to find anywhere yet. Just been speaking to the new owners of Lake Hill Fishery (http://lakehillfishery.com/) about 15mls S|W of Chester and while they can't accept kayaks at the moment due to it being outwith their insurance cover, they are definitely prepared to consider obtaining cover should there be sufficient demand. This is an 18 acre lake that was once apparently the only inland salmon fishery in the UK, I believe the new owners may be planning to renew the licence required to reintroduce the salmon along with the existing trout. The fishery has only recently re-opened - spoke to a friend who fished there today (float tube) and he reports some 12 fish, up to 5lb, caught between himself and his wife, as hard fighting as he'd experienced anywhere. I've described this forum to the owner and the fact that members have been searching for a venue for years. I'm sending him a link - suggest (request!) EVERYONE who would be interested in getting their kayaks on to a trout fishery send an e mail as soon as possible to them. Cheers Martin

Been out to Lake Hill Fishery (http://lakehillfishery.com/) with the yak this evening. True to their word, signed a piece of paper (insurance waiver) paid for a 3 hrs / 2 fish ticket (£13.00 + £1.50 hr for the yak - £17.50 total) Very helpful lady even offered to help carry the yak down to the water - I settled for giving her my camera for a couple of pics!... Lots of fish rising - both these caught on the surface on a dry. Bigger one stayed deep and pulled the yak around some before being netted - looked 4 or 5lbs but was actually only 3lb. Lake's up to 70' deep and water very clear. Owners are continuing to investigate the insurance issue and have indicated the potential for discounts for forum members if there's sufficient demand.

If you join the BCU your membership includes an insurance cover. This should be all you need as its all you need to launch on sale marina.
