What was your best catch ever?, sea or fresh water. Whats the one that really sticks in your mind? It might only be the fight, and it was the one that got away. Go on tell your story. I am sure some of the old hands will kick this one off a Chris, Steve Jim. ;D

Got to be a ling for me ,not being an experienced fisherman like most of you guy's but it was big not sure how heavy but I had to cut it in half to get it in the oven, tasted good though. I caught it wrecking off the east coast. ;D

No it's got to be something caught alive in the sea or freshwater,mermaids ,haggis, nessie , + Jimmy's, do count. ;D ;D ;D

One day course fishing a few years ago on one of salford anglers waters, only had 2 fish that day. 17lb carp and a 6lb catfish both cought pole fishing using sweetcorn on a size 14 hook.

well i would have to say mine was the conger eel i hooked in to when i was fishing down at old ilfracombe pier about 10 years ago i was fighting with it for a good hour but just as i got it to the suface it straightend the hook and off it went i was gutted and so was my dad and the crowd it got around me watching never had a conger fight like that since but was a great nites fishing
