Have you got a Binatone Sat Nav but you really wanted a Tomtom?
My son-in-law got one for Xmas and was a bit miffed, he asked Santa for a TomTom.....so he asked if I could get the full set of Cameras including mobiles and Specs plus the extended POI's on it. I told him it couldn't be done.
But then I looked deeper and found that as the Binatone runs it's naff software on Win CE5 it is possible to install TomTom on a memory card and have a fully functioning TomTom one on the Binatone.
So for the cost of an SD card and a bit of messing he is now a happy chappy and running on TomTom.
So I thought .....my other daughter has been trying to save for a sat nav...hmmmmm....Fleabay.... I managed to get a BNIB still cellophane wrapped Binatone 350 for £25, ( currently £59 in Argos) then got an SD card for £6 and voila the business and I am her favourite Dad...lol
Even at full price from Argos you end up with £120 worth of satnav. Anyone want the details and I will post the relevant links.

Dev, Go here: www.simplesatnav.com/pctforum/index.phpYou have to register to get access to the downloads section. Go to downloads and TomTom. All the files you need are there. Read a few of the forums for the Binatone if you have probs. There is a file called the numpties guide and a numpties keygen use these. It looks complicated but actually its ok. As the Binatone boots first from the SD card TomTom is the first choice but if you take the card out it will boot using the generic software....but you will not want to go back. lol Rest assured you will do nothing to prejudice the base unit. Hope you get on ok. I am a numpty and I managed it. :-)
