hi reeco i am in the process of fitting a garmin160c to a manta ray i will have the post up by the weekend i will make sure i do a few photos of the battery box .

the mark 1 battery box made from a simple tackle box and a little sponge the mark 2 tomorow ;D

I will have to look for a waterproof box like that and then hopefully add industrial sztrength velcro to stop it moving, if and when i go into the drink lol. ATB. Reeco

remenber you need to carry all your electronics to and from the water and to store them somewhere safe when not being used so the mark 2 is one of the new plano boxes which stores all my other electronics off the water like gps fishfinder head camera spare fuses ect then once all the electronoics are attached to the kayak ready to go fishing the battery stays in the new box and its waterproof and safe. i hope to complete it tomorow and get pictures up tomorow night .
