cos my car is a 3 door it needs special adaptors which pushed the price of a roof rack over the £200 mark, the blow up one works a treat, but thank you for mentioning it i will keep an eye out

Just be careful with the inflatable bars mate as I used them for a few months myself. If you are not careful sand gets under them and scratches the car to bits. Also found I had to constantly check the pressure in the winter months. Also it can play havoc with your door seals after a while allowing water to drip in when it's raining. Now that I have the proper bars (2nd hand from fleabay) All these issues are no longer. Plus the kayak secures to the solid bars without the wobble associated with inflatables. Keep an eye open on ebay and you may get a bargain. Chris

Had 3 sets of bars for 3 different cars. All off Ebay and none over £50.

look in Kayak Forum section 'Product Reviews' under Eckla loading bar snd scroll down posts - I found a site for roof bars cheaper than Halfords and also a site for a loading bar cheaper than the Eckla - worth a look
