I have lost count over the years of how many people I have known who have broken either fish finders gps units or vhf radios mostly when off the water in fact I don’t recall a single case of anybody breaking any electronics while out on the water the most common thing I have seen broken is the lcd screens on our gadgets . And how many times have I seen people inc myself rooting through bags and boxes for a particular piece or kit like the vhf radio or gps only to find it was left at home. I wanted a box that I could put all my electronic kit in I want this box to be the home of the kit when I am not on the water and for transporting it to and from the kayak I want this box to offer as much protection to the kit as possible I also wanted to use this box as my on the water waterproof battery box stored in the hull of my kayak . Seen here with all the electronics inside for storage note the wires at the top with the spade clips on I tiny hole was drilled in the lid of the box This is where my wire comes through the box lid Exactly where I drilled the hole for my wires On the water all the fish finder wires are connected and tucked in to the lid compartment in the box The lid closed and fish finder wired to the battery which is tucked away in the waterproof case and the box in the hull ready to go fishing
