Hi Guys New kayak should arrive this week ('09 Tarpon 100) and need to start planning fitting out. I've ordered the 'slide trak' table type thing so for now all I should need is an anchor trolley and 2 rear flush rod holders. Have a watertrail anchor trolley kit, still need the 2 rod mounts. Can't decide on positioning and access until I've got the kayak in front of me but don't want to get started and have to stop for lack of a fitting or two. Must be 15 years since I last used a pop riveter so can anyone advise what I should get in preparation - size / type of rivets or bolts, is there more than one type of riveter? Haven't looked at any flush mounts yet but I believe some come with a template for the cut out which sounds like the best way to go. Have one of those Dremel type tools in the garage and thought that might be a safer way to go when it comes to hole cutting - any one tried one? Advice appreciated. Cheers Martin

Hi Steve Just what I needed thanks - especially the rivets! Checked out H2O - any opinions on their flush mount rod holders? I see they don't include a template and I've heard some do? Finally - anything to look for when buying a pop riveter? I think there's a rusty lump in the bottom of a box in my garage that used to be called a pop riveter Martin

Mine is a cheap stanley gun and it works fine. As for the template if you Pm me your address i will make you one and send it. Steve

Hi Steve Had a chat with Neil at H2O - really helpful - discussed templates and got it figured out (make one!) I'll try and keep a photo record and post the results. Ordered the stuff from H2O - just waiting for Paddleworks to call and say the kayaks ready for pick up! Martin

Hi Guys First time on for a while - apologies for lack of reply to some recent comments. I did post the first 2 parts of my review of the Tarpon 100 but they seemed to disappear along with a whole lot of other posts when the site was revamped a while ago. I'll dust them off and re-post soon together with the 3rd and final part! m

If you delete them from your photobucket they will not appear on the posts. This is the only reason they would be removed. If i remember rightly it was a very good and informative post. Steve
