got home from work and found this little bird all puffed up on my fence kept an eye on him or her then it jumped off the fence hit my window so i went picked it up and hopefully it will be ok? Attachments:

Its a goldfinch. Give it something to drink (water!) and some budgie seed mix. Don't disturb it ,and it will be right as rain tomorrow.

when finding a bird they is not looking well . never give it anything other than water never be tempted to give it milk it will kill it.
put it in a cardboard box with the lid open or part open put a shallow water dish in like say a jam jar lid get another jam jar make some holes in the lid (10/15 holes) put a night light in the jar and put the jar in the corner of the box with the lid on box open and small amount of water in shallow lid the night light will provide heat for the bird and because its in the jar it cant hurt its self it will also attract insects so as the bird feels better it will have fresh live insects available . once it recovers it will fly away . thats the best thing you can do for any Wilde bird.
a lot of the Wilde bird seeds contain a lot of millet . millet is a bit like chocolate to the birds they will eat nothing but millet if given the chance but its not good for the birds they need a balanced amount of millet.
