Hi all, this is another local beach of mine, no idea if its kayak friendly but its a lovely venue, during the autumn and winter months seem to be at its best with plenty of whiting, conger, small eyed ray, occasional thorn back, occasional cod, flounder, turbot, dab, pollack, occasional bass, of course dogfish , bull huss mackeral, mini species which include, wrasse, rockling, blennies etc. so all in all a mixed bag. during the winter the whiting are great sport but do get a bit annoying! The beach has got alot more steep now due to rough storms this year, the best bit along the beach is on the far left, there is a patch of sand just in front of the old bridge where the river used to go out to. i think there must be a sand bank out there somewhere, and there also used to be lug beds. this part always seem to be best fishing. thats where you get the congers from.
