myself and gaz went for worm tonight,we watched some guy walk across the beach with a trolley over to the right hand side of the pier about 300yds from it,he then walked into the water and looked like he was pulling a net,at which time we had gone the other side of the pier pumping. about half an hour later we walked the other side of the pier and found 2 doggies and a small plaice that he had obviously thrown away >:(we also found a spade that was close but had snapped that was his to i have been in touch with the guy who covers colwyn bay as soon as i got back as i didnt have my phone with me the fisheries have also been informed it maddening to see this!

Just for information. Any net without markers are illegal and should be reported to the EA on 0800 807060. This is a free call from a land line and you can remain anonymous if you want to. Alternatively go to www.cpwf.co.uk and report it via their reporting section on the main page. www.cpwf.co.uk/campaign/report-an-incidentSteve
