Considering buying Teksport fx410, however it is just the basic shell with no fixtures or fittings etc on it. What I'm afraid of is, cutting holes etc and rendering the yak useless. I've read all the posts and checked out all the pics etc but it still seems a daunting task - question is - is it worth it or should I just go for a pre fitted out yak?

The great thing with the DIY option is that holders etc are where they suit YOU rather than a generic set up.
It is scarey at first but I have not heard of anyone who has actually ruined their yak. Think carefully, measure once, measure twice, think again and then cut.
You are near to Zebra and Buddy try and get to see them or other lads in the NW, they will advise you and give you confidence. Sometimes it can be cheaper to buy the finished job, you just have to price things up and assess if the manufacturer's ideas and yours match.

I can sympathise about drilling your first hole, not long fitted my anchor trolly and light to my tarpon 160. I was in a panic in case it didn't work out lol, all worked out good though and a bonus of no leaks after a paddle @ Colwyn Bay
