your name: S2vto
your kayak: Prowler 13 Angler edition
Stability - Pretty stable, but not as stable as my drifter (7/10)
Easy to lift - Not too bad, can put on top of my van on my own with the aid of a plastic stool to make a bit easier (7/10)
On and off the car - As above but a Vito Van (7/10)
To and from the water - Usually simple with general flatish ground (9/10)
Fitting/build Build quality ok (8/10)
Nuts - No problems, have extra pre moulded nuts on mine (9/10)
Rivets - As above (9/10)
Bungee rope - Not a problem (8/10)
The seat fixing and Hatches - Seat is fine but would like to try an upgraded version (7/10) and have had no problem with the hatches in normal fishing use. Water has entered through the main front hatch when I got thrown over when launching, but not much at all (8/10)
Rod holders - No problem, mine has the smaller newer version. easy to use. (9/10)
Tackle box - Very handy to use for spare small terminal tackle and two lures, have got a peli box to upgrade to also (8/10)
How does it feel on the water - Stable and secure (8/10)
Tracking - Works fine but sometimes you feel a rudder could be useful but usually change paddling technique to accomodate. (7/10)
Turning - Turns fine, no problem (9/10)
Speed - Quicker than my old drifter but a lot comes down to technique in my opinion (8/10)
Does it cut through the waves or ride over the top of them - Will cut through waves and ride over them, sometimes spraying you, but it is a water sport (7/10)
Hull slap - Not too much, but occasionaly (9/10)
Seating - Standard seat ok but not tried upgraded version (7/10)
Is it dry or wet? - Pretty wet in front but no problem (7/10)
Is it comfortable? - Pretty comfortable but not as comfy as the drifter (7/10)
Cargo area or well - Rear cargo has plenty of space for a box/coolbox and more (drifter very small) (9/10). Front hold ideal for a dry bag and a collapsible trolley (9/10) Screw down hatch handy but need to use tool to open (a piece of wood) (8/10)
Storage how easy is it to get to - Rear, once you are confident and can sit side saddle is ok (8/10). Front hold should not be opened whilst you are on the water (7/10). Screw down hatch is fine to open if you make a tool with wood (as above) (6/10)
My overall score for the Prowler 13 Angler is 8.5/10
