My 1st proper kayak, now I have a P13 Angler
your name: S2VTO
your old kayak: Ocean Drifter Angler
Stability: Very stable with no twitching (9/10)
Easy to lift (quite heavy and quite wide (7/10)
On and off the an: Quite hard at first but better with practise (6/10)
To and from the water: very difficult as I did not have a trolley, would recomend trolley to anyone. 7/10
Fitting/build; good fitting 7/10
Nuts
Rivets
Bungee rope
The seat fixing and
Hatches
All the above were good but there was no small hatch inbetween your legs and the front hatch was good (6/10)
Rod holders were good but older version ones that were a bit more bulky (6/10)
Tackle box; did not get one with it but found one of my own. Handy to keep small items (7/10)
How does it feel on the water; It was very stable, comfy and a great fishing platform. (9/10)
Tracking; not too bad but might benefit from a rudder system (6/10)
Turning: not great but not needed in fishing (6/10)
Speed: very slow in the water and was hard to paddle against tide and current. (5/10)
Does it cut through the waves or ride over the top of them
Hull slap; did hull slap if there was nothing in the front hatch. (6/10)
Seating: standard seat, done many 12 hours sessions in her with no problem (7/10)
Is it dry or wet? pretty dry, usual water in the tankwell (7/10)
Is it comfortable? extremely comfortable (9/10)
Cargo area or well: Cargo area is very small and can just fit a common size coolbox (6/10)
Storage how easy is it to get to: lots of storage in front hatch, rear easy to reach (7/10)
Overall score (7/10) > very comfortable and stable kayak, ideal kayak if you want to flyfish and not paddle more than a couple of miles.
