Hi just a few pick of the simple temporary mould im using to form up the bk box for my yak masked up very well 2 layers of tape i use white board from b&q this lot cam out of the off cuts bin and cost me £3.00 bargin grp will not stick to the surface of white board . ;D ;D im going to make the box sit on top of the tray as i want to keep that clear for wet stuff and lots of fish hopefully .. i have stuck the box together useing a hot glue gun works fine no need for screws . i did profile the bottom edge of the board so it follows the line of the tray edge i have added return flange to the top edge of the box as it will make the whole thing stiff and it will give me some where to attcah the lid and fit a water tite sill now to follow the profile and to give the box roughly the same lines as the stern of the yak i just used a old plastic box lid now any one who has ever worked with grp knows it wont go in to corners so to give the box radius on the edges ues plasticine if you put it in a plastic bag and then pop it in a cup of hot water it gos very soft and and easy to work just roll it in to long sauasges and then use a tool with a round end i uesd a small ring spanner to form the radius on this box . Any small gaps and joins can be sealed using clear sticky tape . and there you are ready for gel coat and fiberglass ;D ;D ;D
