Right part 2 the mucky bit this is a long post i gave the inside of the molding 2 coats of black gel and left it to go off . this is the box lay-ed up with 1 layer of 450 gram matting and a strip of 300 gram mat extra around the flange looks untidy and it was trying to go off on me the shape was a git to lay up . so i should know by now not to make my resin mixes to hot . after about 4 hours i could break the box out of the mold but the longer you leave it to cure the better its best to leave it to cure for 12 hours or over night i rough trimmed the box IE flange and the lower edge i so it fits where it needs to .making things with temporary white board molds will leave you some finishing work like tape marks and lumps and dips in the gel coat . but there not hard to sort out and it wont shine until its been wet flatted and polished up or you can just fill the dips and paint it . to make the lid i used some plastic strips i had kicking about for the edges of the lid and i I'm laying up on an old shower screen door i got of ebay for £0.99 . more bargains. laying up on glass will give the best finish you will ever get with grp and it means you just need to trim and fit no finishing all layed up the other bit of glass is for the bottom of the box and some bits to make rod holders on the box look at the shine on that . thats stright off the glass shower door ;D heres the glass sheet for the bottom of the box just need to put it all together now
