i know it is'nt anything to do with fishing but i am pleased to say the tidy wales woodland project 2012 has gone to the girl guides cearnarfonshire for all the hard work The girl guides and brownie's have done over the year i have been helping get rid of the Leylandii and Laurel bushes/trees and have seen the girls all come together and work hard to tidy the woodland up they will also be planting trees at one woodland they have already planted 160 new trees my other halfs group will be helping out again on the 28-29 of this month and winning the award is great for then to see there hard work is paying off

we are very proud of the work they have done and it shows that other people do take notice of there work they have also just got a grant of £9000 to put some paths in for disabled to use

Sounds like a great project and of benefit to everyone. Has the work been done around Caernarfon?

yes around Caernarfon and snowdonia areas some are on the land where brownies go for there weekend camp/get togeathers

its teaching them to respect nature ,help woodland and help others to enjoy the woodland to
they also use some of the wood cut to turn into bird feeders by drilling holes in the wood and filling with lard and seeds atach string and hang up for birds in winter time
