Wilderness systems ride 135 This kayak is the bigger brother of the 120 the ride 135 kayak can hold it’s known with other kayak’s of the same range some of the features are adjustable Trigger Lock Foot braces. the front hatch was easy to open and close as for the hatch in the front and rear for the seat they are easy to get to when at sea. The tank well has plenty of space in it to take a crate and all you bit and bobs in. The two flush mounted rod holders are well place and easy to get at. The Stability of ride 135 is a very good and is easy to paddle a very comfortable seating arrangement with plenty of leg room the ride 135 has a large flat area at the front to fix a fish finder or rod holder the leg well is one big flat space so you can keep your fishing bait on or putting a small tackle bo The seat has adjustable back rest and a pocket on the rear of back rest. The boat seems to track well and has good speed with very little hull slap The ride 135 also has plenty of Bungee ropes in the right placers and all the fixing on the ride 135 are well made [glow=red,2,300]This review is also on the main website north wales kayak fishing [/glow] northwaleskayakfishing.co.uk/id19.html

I've got the Ride135 in yellow. I flyfish so I was looking for a comfortable and stable boat. At 32" wide and a double concave hull there is loads of room and it's ridiculously stable. The yanks stand and pole these yaks around the flats! Being a WS it is very well built and I love the layout. Little things like the 2 grooves at the front of the cockpit to hold my fly rod as I paddle and the excellent paddle keepers. The CSS seat found on several of the newer kayaks is so comfortable even sitting side saddle. Fitting a full length anchor trolley is easy using the existing fittings so I only needed a couple of additional eyelets. Surprisingly it doesn't feel that slow, to me at least. Obviously not as quick as a P13 but not a huge difference and alot nicer place to spend 4 hours sitting down! The low profile means it doesn't catch the wind as much as other high sided boats. Tracking was excellent. I do get some water through the front scuppers due to low centre of gravity but only a couple of cm and far less than my previous Tarpon 120. The seat area stays dry. The main downside is the weight at 64lb's, combined with the 32" width makes this a bulky boat to lift on and off the car. A C-Tug is essential although saying that I can carry the Ride one handed by a side handle as it is perfectly balanced. Maybe a long strap through the scupper holes on one side would be better so that you could carry it on your shoulder using the strap? For me this is an well thought out kayak, ideal for people who rate comfort over speed. I will add to this when I rack up some more trips. Cheers FlyGuy
