jeez I never ever thought about ripping the suit... I have some similar stuff in the garage that might do to cover the edges. you may have just saved me a hefty repair bill, thanks

I used similar stuff on the cockpit of my sit in, but not until I had scraped my shins to bleeding several times.

That looks ideal Fergal, you must be able to reach further than me but there again perhaps you dont have a belly like mine. I have my rod holders to the side of the seat for ease but I like what you have done. It is a pity kayak designers dont incorporate a slide track system like Tarpon and Manta Ray because I think many more people would have their rod holder system in front of them. Phil

Any chance of a pic of your set-up Phipot? Mine is not set in stone yet so I'm open to ideas

Hi Fergal. I don't have any photos at the moment because I am in the middle of heavy modifications to my Big Game, changing some of the things from my Manta Ray onto the BG. The rise and fall table I use is the same as the one in this article which runs on a slide track system. Last two photos and you can see a better view if you watch the video link at the bottom of the page. www.northwaleskayakfishing.co.uk/id178.htmlThe rod holders I use are RAM tubes which can be set at any angle so ideal for trolling, float or on the bottom. I also have Scotty rod holders in the table. You can just make out the Scotty sockets in the photos. I will be posting a load of photos when the projects I am working on are complete. Phil
