The liquidlogic mantaray 12ft
After testing out the 10 ft version of this kayak we were all very exited at the prospect of getting the chance to test and review the 12ft version.
First thing we all noticed was the quality of the moulding which is first class with a few extra enhancements from the 10ft version the addition of the 2 round hatches with rubber lids and buckets inside which were positioned in easy to reach places
Note the large flat centre console for mounting things like fish finder and compass and also the moulded in cup holder area these mouldings are very well thought out and easy to reach when sitting in the seating position
The side handles are fitted so that when the kayak is carried by the side handles or the centrally fitted rear and front handles the kayak feels balanced and easy to carry
the stability of this kayak is amazing we have already seen this demonstrated quite a few times during the time we have had it on review it handles choppy seas just as easily as smooth seas it is very easy to paddle and does not take much effort to get it moving it’s a quick kayak and so far has preformed brilliantly in our tests handling everything we have thrown at it. its roomy upper deck makes it an ideal fishing kayak
with plenty of places to store you kit and your catch .well done liquid logic you built a very good kayak.
Thanks to ant from system x we have this kayak on loan we will be adding rod holders and anchor trollys to it in time as well as hopefully a fishfinder it will be at all the meets and you are all welcome to try it out for yourself .
