Guardian Nav Light / Safety Button
This is one of those small items we should all be carrying
The official description of this item is as follows thanks to Avoncraft for allowing us to use it .
Guardian Lights are great for evening paddles and expedition use. Available in dual mode which easily converts from a constant beam to a flasher model. Batteries included, with a life of 259 hours when flashing, or 100 hours when constant. A simple twist ON/OFF and a Pfd clip makes this waterproof light an excellent paddle gadget.
But this does not do this little light full justice I received one yesterday from Avoncraft the importers and I have to say its brilliant its so tough you wont break it very easy to use and a very affordable safety aid .
The strobe is very visible and would aid rescue no end we should all be wearing one of these on our pfds.
I was sent the clear white lens one for testing and reviewing other colours are available.
By using the supplied pfd clip I have clipped it to my pfd it is a secure clip so will stay there it won’t fall off.
It is a simple twist of the lens and it’s switched on no fiddly buttons to worry about with cold wet fingers.
The clever thing about this is you can have either a flashing strobe or a static light .all you do is turn the supplied battery over to switch between the 2 modes before you go out.
this is a fantastic piece of kit which is waterproof easy to use will not get in the way is a fantastic aid in a rescue situation and I would say we all should have one attached to our pfd’s .
The price of this unit is £11.99 each.
I know Brookbanks have them .i will put up a list of other retailers who have them in stock over the weekend .
