bought some j bars the other week, and when lifting the yak up onto them for the first time i thought b.....ks there has to be a easyier way. so i bought a second hand kari tek easyloader off greygoose. fitting it was a piece of cake but my j bars wouldnt clamp on as they go underneath the bars and the bars have a groove to slide on the rollers underneath. after 2 visits to bq bought the correct bolts and modified the j bars. now lets see if it works. thats what it looks like ontop of the car. getting it lined up fastened on and ready to lift, note the suction pads on the car to prevent it scratching. then the hard bit, lifting and sliding it up to the roof, which isnt hard at all so put a strap front and back for extra piece of mind and went for a drive. no chatter coming from the system at all and the yak didnt move at all. taking it off very easy as well. would highly recomend this product especially if you have a 4x4 like myself or a van. the only downside is i think they are about £350 new. so my £100 plus a drive to camebridge was a bargain. cheers mel
