RAM Rod Holder This is my first impressions of this rod holder The first thing you notice is the overall quality of this rod holder it is rugged and solidly constructed it has been very well designed and thought out. The ball mount below is easily detachable so it makes it easy to attach to the kayaks without the holder part getting in the way the ball mount acts as a swivel which allows the rod rest to be angles in many positions and quickly moved to a new angle if needed the adjustment for moving the angles is done by just loosening the easy to grip large handle on the side then once the desired angle is set tighten it up again and its solid . even with cold hands the adjustments would be easy. The blue retainer clip is to lock the rod in place it is very easy to fasten and un-fasten I think this is a great rod rest. It is quite wide so rods of different butt thicknesses will easy fit I think it would be easy to attach to the kayaks and I think with its rugged construction it will last a long time it sells for £16.95 from h2o. www.h2okayaks.com/unitrader/shop/product/RAM-Rod-Holder-RAP-340/143We have asked degs to attach this rod holder to his kayak use it a few times then add to this review his thoughts on it

Any idea if the base screw holes are anywhere near the layout of the bold holes just in front of the FF scupper on the 2007 P13?
