Well what a beautiful day. Unbroken blue sky very little wind perfect.
Whoops, went to the free car park just outside Stratford but I had the Kaafu upright and I was too high for the barrier. Doh!! The access was very busy so we decided to opt for the town car park next to the river bridge.
£3 for 4 hours or £4 all day great value.
The Avon at Stratford is great on days like this.
I was on the p13 and Steph was trying the Kaafu. I was quite surprised how high the water was, up at least 12", very coloured and full of weed and Autumnal leaf fall. Mmmnnn not looking good for wetting a line.
Steph soon got used to the Kaafu, although she felt a bit wary as it was 3ft shorter thn her usual paddle the P13.
Within 10 minutes she was loving the manoeuvrability and how easy it was to paddle.
We were loving it still some frost but in the sun it was lovely.

The colours of Autumn are beautiful, this larch was burning brightly.
What a lovel view for you lunch.
Steph is getting too comfortable in my FISHING kayak.
Mind you it is nnot all beauty there are a few slums on the river side....Fancy calling this Swan Court.
Lottery, lottery, lottery PLEASE!!!!!
Be careful here though the locals can be a bit brutal ...... this was a polish angler who tried to take a pike home .
The one disappointment of the day was the amount of fresh saw branches floating down the river.
As we came down river we saw why. The Stratford on Avon Boat Club support boat was doing some 'tree surgery' Now I am sure this might be necessary and I am sure they would not cut branches without the Upper Avon Navigation Trust consent.
But..... why are they throwing the branches into the river and not dealing with the debris properly?
I am sending emails to the club, the Trust and the EA for advice.
