Has anyone been affected by this lousy weather, I have been lucky where I live due to being quite high up.

Not so lucky, we had two tankers all day on Sunday but the water did not get into the house thanks to the highways dept who respond to us really well. We were on red alert yesterday but now down to amber and the wind has changed so the rain clouds are heading back inland. We are waiting to find out if we will be affected by the insurance changes next year, it could well be that we wont get insurance in future. Because we flooded back in 2007 with a rebuild cost of £45k and contents at £21k, I guess we could find ourselves with no cover. We love our cottage but we are very concerned what will be the outcome. Phil
