Bravo 2 Piece Fiberglass Paddle
The Bravo 2 piece paddle is another product from Gosea
This is my review of the Bravo 2 Piece Fiberglass Paddle.
The first thing you notice when you un-pack this paddle is the quality of the materials
They are superb.
This is a 215cm paddle it is very lightweight and robustly made.
The paddle is finished to a very high standard and has some superb features.
The paddle has a fiberglass shaft with comfort grips which have a rubberized feel this helps the grip when the shaft is wet the right hand shaft has a shaped insert inside the rubberized grip this is designed to make sure you are holding the paddle correctly.
The large blade is very well designed with a re-enforcing rib for added strength.
The blades are made from a special plastic mix which has 40% fiberglass this makes the blades light and very strong.
During our tests we put the paddle in the water and it floats superbly well
Both blades have soft drip rings fitted this stops water running down the shaft when paddling.
Each blade is fitted to the shaft with a rivet for extra security and finished off with shrink tubing this makes it a very neat finish and covers any transitional edges
The blades have a clean scooped shape to them this is to help move maximum water while paddling.
The shaping of the blade at the throat of the paddle allows the blade to move through the water with very little resistance and maximum efficiency for each stroke paddled.
The shafts joint is made from marine grade aluminum which has a positive locking button we found it easy to use even with cold wet hands
The shaft has 3 positive locking positions allowing the paddle to be used right handed, left handed and straight.
The shaft locking holes are the perfect size for the locking pin this is not always the case with some paddles but these are great and make taking the paddle apart or changing the angle really easy .
Over all this is a great paddle which is high on quality and features we found it really easy to assemble and take apart we liked the feel and balance of the paddle.
The hand grips seamed warm and easy to grip even with cold wet hands the paddle preformed superbly on our tests it gave us maximum efficiency for very little effort and the construction is very robust which should allow for a lot of use.
The paddle retails for £49.75 this includes free delivery.
