Masterline Rovex Lure pro fishing rod
This is my review of the Masterline Rovex Lure pro fishing rod
The first thing you will notice when you get the rod out of the bag is the quality its top notch in every way with a super slim carbon blank and 8 super light weight alloy lined rings the model I have is the 8ft 20 to 40gr in the lure pro range there are 2 additional rods a 9ft and a 10ft. I chose the 8ft being ideal for use on the kayak
This lure rod is a 2 piece rod both sections are equal length making it easy to store and transport
The line guides are made from a super strong alloy lined with a ceramic insert this ensures minimum line friction while fishing each line guide has a black high gloss finish lined in a stylish gold trim
The but ring is the largest of the lined rings and has a double whipped fastening
The intermediate rings are single leg eyes these are quite low profile rings and ideal for using lines of 8 to 15lbs
The tip eye is again low profile and fully lined it is finished off nicely with the stylish strong whipping
The reel seat and handle are super slim and designed for either multiplier of fixed spool reels the Eva grip feels soft to the touch and gives solid grip
And an overall nice feel to the rod.
The reel seat is a super slim locking screw type fitting which holds the reel very securely.
On the butt section is a hook keeper ring designed to slip your hook through when not fishing
The feel and overall look of this quality rod is second to none it is superb.
you can feel the power of the carbon blank right through to the butt .
I had a few casts teaming it up with the Oberon multiplier and it’s a fantastic pairing the retail of the 8ft version I have is £34.99 I think that represents great value for this top quality lure rod and it is sure to become a firm favourite amongst us kayak fishermen
