I found that the standard fuel tanks were just to big for what I do and need they tend to get in the way clutter the deck and are a trip hazard while out fishing so I made my own smaller tank here are some photos of what I did . I started with a standard petrol tank and a boat petrol tank I removed the gauges and filler connections from the boat tank and put them in to a smaller can So remember the fuel space in my seat box shown here with the sliding lid removed The fuel can slots in to the space and all the pipe work goes through the ventilation holes The lid is then slid in to place this then also contains any fuel spillages I may have In the bottom of the sealed compartment this is then easy to clean up This is the complete fuel tank a full fuel tank will give me 3 full days fishing with my 5.8 2 stroke parson engine

I am really impressed, would never have thought of that but there again, a bit small for my 15hp and my 2.5 is a built in tank so couldn't use one but a cracking idea for your and similar sized engines.
