Well, today has been nothing short of spectacular in N.Wales. there was barely a breath of wind and not a cloud in the sky. Perfect chance to see if I could get some fish from the yak for the first time (on the sea) I launched from Criccieth and wasn't too adventurous, staying in an arc about 200m off the castle peninsula. I set off at high tide - give or take - and fished for about four hours. 15 fish in all: 6 mackerel 3 herring 5 coley and a pollack. nothing massive, the herring were of a decent size, but they went back to fight another day. Everything was taken on feathers, so the lure rod will need to break its duck next time! Absolutely belting day for it though. As I have no camera mount, or camera or anything like that yet you'll have to make do with a shoddy mobile effort. This really is today, and it really is Criccieth, not the Med!
