Aberdesach meet next Saturday 25th NovemberKev is a little disabled at the moment as far as internet connections are concerned( changing providers etc) so he has asked me to get the next meet details and directions up on the forum. The meet is on saturday 25th November at Aberdesach . DirectionsFrom Caernarvon follow signs for Porthmadog/ Pwllheli on the A487 just after Bontnewydd and approaching LLanwnda take the Pwllheli road from the roundabouts - the A499 . Its a straight road essentially from now on- past Dinas Dinlle then Pontllyfni then next stop is Aberdesach on your right. Follow the narrow lane through the the few houses there which then leads onto a fairly sizeable carpark area right on the shingle beach. A Plan B is being organised to ensure a safe-haven venue if the weather fails to play ball for us at Aberdesach- so one way or the other there will be a meet. Kev has got his winter species score card laminated which will be handed out on the day along with a pen that writes in a damp environment so we can start our winter species hunt and competition. If the meet does get out at Aberdesach there is mixed and clean ground running out in bands as you move offshore- there are also well known reefs locally- Gored beuno short trip to the SW and Caer Arianrhodd to the NW heading up to Dinas. Gored Beuno Please let us know if you are expecting to make it .

Looking forward to it. I remember there are loads of rocks/boulders on the beach here so care may be needed in places. Any hints as to where the sheltered plan B could be?

Plan B is still being worked on - could even be an inland water out of the worst of the wind- if you've got any suggestions Ian i'm sure they would be welcome.

I hope to make it. I suppose it depends on the wind but as a sugestion for a plan B Morfa Nefyn is only a few miles on and quite sheltered in most westerlys. Ive not fished it winter but have spent a bit of time around here in the summer for a few years. At this time of the year there is easy parking with the sea close by. Anyway Iwill be just happy to meet more of you and enjoy the day wherever.

was down in april it is easy to get on the beach as you can park in the car park next to the beach but take your trolley with you as the tide goes a very long way out on a good day you can paddle around the 2 island i had some good fishing on the yak you can also go into the town over the bridge past the O'Neil shop turn left you can park just past the put walk down the steps and launch in the harbour i did this a few times as well
