Barry,
Stick a post up in the general section more people will see it. I am sure there are one or two that get out that way.

Hi Terry, thanks for the welcome.
I still have all my fresh water kit so will be looking to get out on fresh water too, I have the lake district, not too far away from me and a canal right on my door step ;D

Hi Griff Terry is getting a suntan in Crete at the moment but he will see this when he returns. A great deal of pleasure awaits you once out on the water.

Hi everyone! new guy here....I fish the beaches around Anglesey, making it to the mainland once in a while. I've recently had the opportunity to pick up an old Heritage Featherlite 9.5 Angler which I'm itching to get out and try. I have no illusions about deep sea fishing in it- that's totally out of the depth (shoot me later for that) I'll be a shore hugger keeping within 100m of land i think! I haven't been in a kayak for years, but uses to enjoy using a hand line over the side for crabs and whatever else I could find. I have very little experience, I just used to paddle around the Inland Sea goo.gl/maps/HqP5k on fine summer days, it's an area I'll be hitting again to practice, and get a feel for things until I'm more confident and skilled. so just a hello for now, I'll be sticking to the beachcasters until I can get out for a calm day, and relearn what I'd forgotten about paddling around

It will all come back soon enough.
As it's colder weather just make sure you have adequate protection from the weather.
You will wish you started years ago, it's a great
