Just thought I would say hello, I have recently bought an angling SOT kayak. Actually to dive from but I used to enjoy fishing when younger so its something I would love to start again. I dive a lot around Anglesey so joined this forum to learn where I can fish too.

Hello Noot, you have picked the right place to look. Although I am at the east coast, we have some very experienced kayak anglers in your region. I would suggest you put up a separate post in this section and ask if any of the members will meet up with you. That way you can see how the kayaks are rigged and hopefully get the chance to go out with someone to show you the ropes.
Good luck and enjoy
Phil

Yeah good point, you can only read so much.. I actually live in Bolton which is a little drive away from north wales or any coast for that, but looking for anywhere to get started and some experience on the water really. So if anyone happy to take out a newbie, then let me know. Also If anyone knows any good places to start on the NW coast, Liverpool to Fleetwood that would be good too. Mainly I just want to get started in 2013, and get a feel for things

We also have a few people who spend a fair amount of time on fresh water so you may still get some paddling time inland.

Welcome Vini,
There is some great fishing all around N Wales and the North West but living in Northants don't forget there is some fantastic coarse fishing around you.
Daz and I are over on the Twenty Foot tomorrow.
