Hi all, I'm new to the forum as my partner and I have recently bought an ocean kayak. We have been to check out a couple of places to launch from Porth Iago, Porth Ysgaden and Porthdinllaen. We only have 1 kayak between us so we are looking for places with easy access and somewhere to fish from by land or sea, also I'm a new beginner so would like somewhere that would be good for practising. Any tips would be really appreciated.
Thanks Bev & Da

Porth Dinllaen is a great plce to have a safe paddle and the next bay at Nefyn. Also consider Aberdaron and launching from the harbour entrance area at Pwlhelli, from there if conditions are right paddle round to the Gimlet Rock, fish about 400yds out for a great selection. The is also Angelsey. Plenty of nice places there. Keep an eye open here for some of the lads going out, you may be able to join them. That's the best way to pick up tips. Just make sure you stick to safe conditions for starters and that you have the correct safety gear. Take care and enjoy the sport. Terry

Hi all,
I'm Ray from Kent and I was directed here by Graeme from Galaxy with a question, and hoping to join in the fun too!
My friend & I bought a pair of Cruzes a couple years ago (to join our other friend who has a collection!) and we've been having lots of fun kayaking & camping on the Stour in & around Canterbury. We haven't tried fishing yet but maybe this summer!
Looking forward to speaking to some fellow kayakers!
Ray
