Ive just purchased the peak sea vest,65n,reflective strips on for safety two front pockets and hydration pack in the back.Bought from brookbanks from liz cracking girl tried everyone on this was the best fit.Liz told me to sit down in it and lifted me by the straps didnt rise up at all.Mrs bones got the palm symbiant tour two pockets and two hand warmers.Again liz put it to the test by lifting her and it didnt rise up.highly recommend going to brookbanks and get fitted properly, cracking service no hard sales crap.just good friendly advice and she gave me the 10% off being forum member.thanks liz

Would pockets not act as a sea anchor as you trid to get back on the yak and pull you back?

Hi Buddy. I agree that your PFD looks brilliant for the price!!! What is the flotation rating on it? Is it the standard 50n? Cheers, Chris.

I use a Palm River vest 75. mainly because i often carry a camera with me.
Pockets are the main criticism people raise when trying to cope with an assisted or self rescue. The more items carried in the pockets the more they seem to snag on things as you get back on board.
It is easy to overload the pockets. I recall one PFD which was fitted with loads of safety kit by the owner. At lunchtime we thought we'd take a look at it. We dropped it into the sea and watched it sink.....
