For the past five years I have been without a SIB and to be very honest I sold it as I became more involved in kayak fishing. Needless to say both myself and my family have regretted selling it so as a retirement present to myself, here is the new replacement, Honda Honwave 3.8IE2 air floor and a Parsun 15hp which is as heavy as I can manage on my own. I have fitted the launch wheels today and as you can see tested out the new Bravo pump. Phil

Not sure David but would expect around 20mph or more with this lighter and more rigid floor. Did you get a SIB as you were looking a while ago if I remember correctly.

I had a Zodiac Yachtline RIB, I think it was a 3.6mt, so only a little one with a 40hp Marina and rather quick as I remember but that was about 12 - 15 years ago. This is my 6th SIB starting when I was a wee boy of 19 so over the years I have a wide selection of craft, speed boats, sailing dinghies, 30' fishing boat, kayaks and of course my inflatables. No matter what boat I have, I always go back to a SIB, so quick, lightweight and easy to store / transport. No mooring fees, usually no trailer needed, and space for the family to go on the river for a picnic. I was very tempted to go for a small RIB this time but I just love SIBS , until I change my mind again of course. Phil

I've not got the experience that you have... I just started from a kayak and then progressed from there and not looked back
