Hi all Started early saturday ,called on Vlad at the campsite no sign of life gave him a wake up call on the phone, told him i would see him at the reef, Arrived to find Xray and his family in their campervan ,but he hadn't got his kayak. I got ready ,ray and the kids joined me and we started of for the reef. I could hear the sea which puzzled me it was a great morning very little wind, soon found out the sea was calm with a good swell causing breakers coming off the reef onto the beach, moved down the beach to what I thought was a quieter spot, after a couple of attempts , I thought I had the right wave ,but it just dropped me on the beach it was followed by a larger wave which hit me ,over I went kayak upside down me in the surf, Ray rushed to help me but the wave was that strong it carried my yak it hit ray and knocked him of his feet ,so we both got a soaking . Sorry about that RAY. Finely got out started fishing for the bream, into mackies right away ,then the doggies moved in one after the other , had plenty of fish but just one bream.
cheers tony
